    Over all... Don’t bother... Spend your money somewhere else.....

    The owner, Greg, is one of the least hospitable hosts I have ever met; he is too full of himself to have any manners. The food tasted as if it had been microwaved and he completely skipped dessert. Overall, the Priory was one of the most overpriced and undervalued accommodations I have ever stayed at.

    However, Bothwell was a very nice town; the Nant Distillery and the golf course were nice to see. I would highly recommend staying at another accommodation in the town.

    As for the food.....It was very, very basic. Could not get out of there fast enough....

    We went with another couple for a night just for fun. Both booked the Valley View Suits. First impression “Oh that's a nice, our suite has a sauna" and a curtain in the middle of the room? Odd! ... But on closer inspection, I though.... “Why is there an internal loft window ½ covered with sheets of mdf on the opposite side of the room. It didn't make sense! Curiosity got the better of me. I went into the room opposite ours, up the stairs and, SHOCK HORROR..... It was a bedroom that over look our bed and ensuite.... and it was clearly being used. I had a great view of the whole bathroom and bedroom.... When I questioned the owner” why there is an internal window in our room, his reply “oh that’s a store room” yeah right! It was his accommodation..... Now I know why there was a curtain in the middle of the room, it’s so you can have a bit of privacy. Dodgy!!!!. I did not like the situation at all. As for the cleanliness of the room, it was average; The sheets had to be changed because there was a stain on them... Yuk! Not happy!
